Consistency rules are one of the clauses I find easiest to skim past and most worth reading slowly. Some programmes require that no single day contributes more than a set percentage of total profit toward a payout or evaluation target. Others only look at the overall pattern. The wording determines whether a big winning day can disqualify an otherwise sound run, so the definition of "profit" (realised or floating, gross or net of costs) matters as much as the percentage itself.
When I work through a rulebook, I try to write the rule out in one plain sentence, then list what it does not cover: weekends, partial closes, adjustments, or days where the account was reset. Ambiguous terms like "trading day" can mean different things depending on the server time or session cut-off, and that is worth checking against the firm's own examples rather than assumptions. I also look for whether the firm states how breaches are reviewed, since that affects how much room a single unusual day really leaves you.
I am curious how others here turn a clause like this into something usable in their own process. Do you keep a written checklist of the rule terms, or do you rely on a worked example from the firm's documentation, and which has caught more problems for you?

How do you read a prop firm's consistency rule before you size trades?
