Delete your account and data
You can delete your ZenithFX account yourself at any time. This page explains what is removed, what the law requires us to keep, and how long it takes.
Delete your account yourself
- Sign in to ZenithFX (with your email and password, or with the login you connected, such as Facebook or Google).
- Go to Account → Settings → Delete account, or open zenithfx.com/app/account/delete directly.
- Confirm it is you: enter your password (or confirm with your connected login), plus your two-factor code if you turned it on, then type your email address.
- Press Delete my account permanently. You are signed out everywhere and get a confirmation code you can look up on this page.
Sign in to delete your account
If you have an active paid membership, cancel it first (Account → Billing → Manage subscription) so you are not charged for an account that no longer exists. You can delete the account straight after.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, name, password hash, profile, photo and settings.
- Everything you created: Trade Checks, saved setups, journal entries, decision rooms, watchlists, saved firms, community posts, comments and reactions.
- Connected logins (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook): the link is removed. ZenithFX never stores those providers' access tokens, so nothing else stays connected. You can also remove ZenithFX from your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy → Apps and websites).
- Two-factor secrets and recovery codes, password-reset links, notifications and every signed-in session.
- Analytics about how you found us and what you used, for your account.
What we have to keep
Some records must be kept by law or for accounting. They are kept without your name or email:
- billing, subscription and refund records and the accounting ledger (tax and bookkeeping law; kept without your name or e-mail, linked only by the payment processor's reference)
- moderation decisions about public posts (without your identity)
- a do-not-contact entry for your e-mail address so no marketing or outreach e-mail is ever sent to it again
Our audit log keeps a note that a deletion happened and when, using a one-way code instead of your identity.
How long it takes
Self-service deletion happens straight away. Copies in encrypted database backups expire on their normal rotation, within 30 days. After that, nothing that identifies you remains.
If you signed in with Facebook
If you remove ZenithFX in your Facebook settings, or ask Facebook to have your data deleted, Facebook tells us and we delete your Facebook login data automatically. That is the Facebook account id and the email Facebook shared. If Facebook was your only way to sign in, the whole ZenithFX account is deleted too. You get a confirmation code to look up on this page.
Can't sign in, or want us to do it?
Email support@zenithfx.com from the address on your account and say you want your account deleted. We confirm by email and finish within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm from that inbox so nobody can delete someone else's account.
